Dear Colleagues
Less than three months are left before the 14th Panhellenic Congress of Regional Anaesthesia, Pain Therapy and Palliative Care will take place, in October 18 – 21, 2012, at the hotel Costa Navarino, in Messinia (Peloponese), in the South of Greece. The Congress is co – organized by the Hellenic Society of Palliative and Symptomatic Care of Cancer and Non – Cancer Patients (PARHSYA) and the Greek Section of European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA Hellas). The Preliminary Program is already prepared, including lectures, round table discussions, satellite lectures, satellite symposia, hands – on clinical workshops and free announcements, on current topics related to Regional Anaesthesia, to Management Strategies of Acute and Chronic Pain, as well as to Palliative Care. At this point, we would also like to present you a short Review of the respective Congress, that took place last year, in Elounda, Crete, Greece, as it was published in the 16th Issue of the Periodical Edition of PARHSYA, “Palliative CAre”, by the Presidents of the Organizing Committee. In the 12th Panhellenic Congress of Regional Anaesthesia, Pain Therapy and Palliative Care, 371 scientists participated, whereas the 3 Clinical Workshops of ESRA Hellas and the 2 Workshops of Alternative Therapies were attended by 56 and 36 trainees respectively. The massive paricipation of delegates in both scientific and social activities and the 10 lectures of the distinguished invited speakers from abroad contributed to the Congress Success.
Proof of such success of the last year’s Congress is the respective Commendement, awarded by the Panhellenic Medical Association. Below you can find the relevant letter that has been sent to the organizers:
